Skin Mate light mask provides a dynamic combination of:

Visible light (red or blue) and invisible infra-red light to stimulate the deeper skin tissue, leading to a softening of fine lines, improved skin tone and super smooth skin.

Blue light waves penetrate sebaceous glands to destroy the acne P. acnes bacteria (Propionibacterium) which is photosensitive.  The wave creates an anaerobic condition in the gland so the bacteria cannot survive.

In both Red and Blue Light options our machine has Infrared Light so (Red +IR) and (Blue +IR) which stimulates the deeper skin tissue and maximises the efficiency and outcomes of each light colour.  For example if you had mature skin I would treat you with (Red +IR) and you would get all the benefits from the red light plus infrared benefits and if you had acne skin I would treat you with (Blue +IR) and you would get all the benefits from the blue light plus infrared benefits.  If you had a combination of mature and acne skin I would treat you with (Red +IR and Blue +IR) which alternates the lights and also gives you infrared benefits.
