Cryotherapy is the controlled destruction of unwanted benign tissue by the precise application of extreme cold. It freezes enough to achieve tissue necrosis and limits the freeze to prevent collateral damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This treatment offers the removal of skin tags, warts, veruccas, milia, cherry angiomas and hyper-pigmentation these are the six different types of skin leisions which can be found on the face or body.
Cryotherapy is the controlled destruction of unwanted benign tissue by the precise application of extreme cold. It freezes enough to achieve tissue necrosis and limits the freeze to prevent collateral damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
To perform the treatment we use a device called CryoPen to emit a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide at a low temperature and high pressure to give a rapid freeze on the skins tissues. This freezes the cells and the water in the cells causing tissue necrosis.
We can now offer the successful removal of the following:
- Skin Tags
- Milia
- Warts
- Verrucae
- Pigmentation
- Cherry Angiomas
This treatment is specific so the prices are from £20.00 and results take 4-6 weeks.

Treatment
To perform the treatment we use a device from Cryosthetics called a CryoPen to perform Cryotherapy. The Cryopen emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide at a low temperature and high pressure to give a rapid freeze on the skins tissues. This freezes the cells and the water in the cells causing tissue necrosis.
Cryotherapy offers the successful removal of the following:
- Skin Tags
A small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by a connecting stalk.
- Milia- Whiteheads/Milium
Small, raised, pearly-white or yellowish bumps on the skin. It is a type of tiny skin cyst filled with a protein called keratin.
- Warts- Seborrheic Wart
They are an infection in the top layer of skin, caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus, or HPV family. When the virus invades this outer layer of skin, usually through a scratch, it causes rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of skin, creating the wart.
- Verrucae- Plantar Warts
They are flatter because they tend to be found on the feet, where the dermis is thicker. They are an infection in the top layer of skin, caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus, or HPV family. When the virus invades this outer layer of skin, usually through a scratch, it causes rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of skin, creating the wart.
- Pigmentation- Hyper pigmentation (dark spot)or Hypo pigmentation (light spot) - Age Spots
Abnormal colouring on skin, typically resulting from cells that have become damaged or unhealthy. It affects melanin production.
- Cherry Angiomas- Blood Spots - Campbell de Morgan
They are broken blood vessels inside the Cherry Anginoma that give the reddish appearance.
Some NHS (National Health Service) Doctor's Surgery's do not regard some of the above conditions adequate to come under their services or their equipment is not as advanced as our Cryosthetics Cryopen therefore the demand is increasing for these treatments becoming highly sourced with private practitioners.
